- Atlanta – As the impenetrable barriers of doing business with China dissolve, companies and entrepreneurs have an unprecedented opportunity to reach one of the largest markets in the world. Seizing these opportunities and being prepared for their challenges is the topic of the May 15 MIT Enterprise Forum meeting.
“China has become an indispensable key to global strategy...not just for any hardware company, but for IT companies as well. This program will provide deep insights from world-renowned experts to those wishing to understand and navigate the Chinese marketplace and business environment,” explained Jon Goldman, Programs Chair of Atlanta’s MIT Enterprise Forum. Attendees at this MIT event will also get an overview from experts on the geo-economic forces at work and their relevance to the rest of the world. Audience participation in a question and answer session will conclude the evening.
Featured Speakers This program will feature keynote speaker Mr. Wilson Lu, CEO of Amerasia S&T Partners, a $900M company that has been successfully doing business in China for over a decade. In his keynote address, “Doing Business with China,” Lu will give a firsthand view of China’s policies, business climate and competitive landscape.
Delivering the opening keynote address on “China in the Global Context” will be Dr. Jag Sheth, author of, “Tectonic Shifts: Geo Economic Realignment of the World.” Dr. Sheth is also a world-renowned speaker on geo-politics, markets and business trends.
Featured expert panelists include: Dr. Penelope Prime, Professor of Economics in the School of Economics and Business at Mercer University who has 30 years of experience studying and working within the dynamic Chinese economy; Dr. Fei-ling Wang, faculty member at Senator Sam Nunn School of International Affairs and Fulbright scholar, who spent over two years studying China businesses; and Ms. Guanming Fang, an experienced business attorney who uses her bicultural and bilingual abilities to navigate her clients through Chinese and U.S. markets.

Networking begins 5:45 PM; the program starts at 6:30 PM. Prices range from $25 for members to $45 for non-member onsite registration; all students are $10.
