TED’S MONTANA GRILL BURGERS VOTED BEST IN ATLANTA
Atlanta -

ATLANTA — With a choice of bison or beef and more than 20 ways they can be served, the hamburgers at Ted’s Montana Grill are the best in Atlanta, according to visitors of AOL CityGuide’s Web site, www.aol.com/citysbest/atlanta/best-dining/burgers.

Ted’s Montana Grill was nominated by AOL’s editorial team for “Best Burger” along with nine other Atlanta-area restaurants.  From May 8 to July 10, visitors of the Web site could vote once a day for their favorite dining and nightlife spots in the city.  More than 2.6 million votes were cast nationwide for the City’s Best Awards, with final voting results published on July 22.

George McKerrow Jr., president and CEO of Ted’s Montana Grill, said, “Of course, we think our burgers are the best in town and we’re glad so many Atlantans agree.  Our burgers are made with 10 ounces of fresh, USDA beef or Great Range Bison.  Each burger is prepared by hand with a ‘loose pack’ and then seasoned with our proprietary seasoning and cooked under a small steel dome to hold in the juices.  No burger in Atlanta tastes quite like a Ted’s burger.”

Ted’s burgers come with a choice of beef or bison and are served on Kaiser or Oatie Wheat buns.  The restaurants cook them many different ways, including “George’s Cadillac” (with barbecue sauce, cheddar cheese and bacon), “Green & Hot” (featuring guacamole, jalapenos and Monterey Jack cheese), “Skinny Dip” (topped with avocado slices), and “Kitchen Sink” (piled high with grilled ham, mushrooms, onions, a fried egg, bacon and choice of cheese).  Ted’s is the only national restaurant company to feature bison and bison burgers regularly on the menu.  Over the last few years, bison has been growing in popularity as a healthy, delicious choice among diners.

In nominating restaurants for the City’s Best award, CityGuide considered characteristics such as commitment to quality, selection and service, consistent reputation for value and aspects such as character, uniqueness and contribution to the local culture.  Ted’s burgers were also honored earlier this month when 5280, a Denver magazine, named them the “Top of the Town” in its July issue. And Ted’s burgers were also nominated for CityGuide’s “Best Burger” in Nashville.  For more information about the contest and a complete list of nominees, visit www.aol.com/citysbest.
