Courtroom View Network to Webcast Diet Drug Trial
Atlanta - ATLANTA, GA – March 2, 2009 – Courtroom View Network (CVN), www.courtroomview.com, today announces live and on demand coverage of the Fen-Phen trial, In Re Diet Drugs Litigation. The trial is scheduled to take place in Los Angeles County Superior Court before Honorable Anthony J. Mohr beginning on March 2, 2009. The trial is expected to last 2 to 3 months. The case involves the diet drugs fenfluramine, phentermine, and dexfenfluramine, commonly known as Fen-Phen. The Food and Drug Administration asked drug manufacturers to withdraw two of the drugs in 1997, after medical tests performed by doctors on patients using Fen-Phen suggested that fenfluramine and dexfenfluramine were the likely cause of heart valve problems.   Courtroom View Network will be providing gavel to gavel coverage of the trial, without commercials or commentary. With CVN’s offering, attorneys and other industry observers will have the unique ability to view video, audio, and evidence of the entire trial from any location. CVN’s professional footage enables viewers to evaluate expert witness testimony, review evidence presented, and prepare for related upcoming trials and hearings of the Fen-Phen class-action suits.   Courtroom View Network has covered hundreds of legal proceedings across the country, including many within the Los Angeles County Superior Court. Examples of past proceedings include In Re: Vioxx Litigation, Jose Adolfo Tellez et al v. Dole Food Company Inc et al and Norman Turner v.
