GH&I’s Chief Operating Officer Receives National Accounting Administration Honor
Atlanta -

Sue Groszkiewicz presented with the 2009 ACE Award

ATLANTA, GA – Gifford, Hillegass & Ingwersen LLP (GH&I), the Atlanta-based certified public accounting and advisory firm, announces that chief operating officer Sue Groszkiewicz is the recipient of the Association for Accounting Administration (AAA)’s 2009 ACE Award.  Groszkiewicz accepted the award during a special ceremony at AAA’s National Practice Management Conference, held June 16-19, 2009 in Denver, Colo.

ACE, which stands for Achievement, Commitment and Excellence, has been awarded to some of the country's most experienced and respected administrators based on the criteria of leadership and the individual's strategic impact on a public accounting firm's profit and growth.

Groszkiewicz is often described as a visionary and a catalyst for positive change.  She helped to establish GH&I’s growth and profit solutions consulting practice that supports business and organizational leaders in achieving their growth, profit and developmental objectives.  Groszkiewicz is an accredited Mindshop facilitator.  Using Mindshop, a global provider of strategic and personal development program, she and her team have consulted business owners and other individual clients across a number of industries, helping businesses achieve greater business success through strategic planning and implementation.

“GH&I is extremely proud of Sue and her many accomplishments during her career with the firm,” said Dick Ingwersen, managing partner and co-founder of GH&I, who attended and spoke at the awards dinner where Groszkiewicz was honored.  “As I know many people in this profession, I can’t think of anyone more deserving of this recognition than Sue.  She has been and continues to be an integral part of our firm.”

Groszkiewicz has 30 years of public and private accounting experience. She also worked for eight years in private industry, holding positions in operations and technology at a large chemical corporation. Her experience includes management consulting, computer systems analysis, executive search recruiting services and audit and forensic accounting.

Groszkiewicz earned her B.B.A. degrees in accounting and management from Georgia State University. She is a member of the Leading Edge Alliance (LEA), the Association for Accounting Administration (AAA) and is an associate member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA). She is a Federal Club member of the Human Rights Campaign and a Circle Member of Georgia Equality.
